Introduction to Robotics & Coding with Microcontrollers & MicroPython Thu 23rd July - Fri 31st July
10:00am - 4:00pm
Perfect for complete beginners, this hands-on programme introduces young innovators to designing, building, and programming smart electronic projects using powerful microcontrollers. At the heart of the course is MicroPython—a beginner-friendly version of Python used to control real hardware. Students write simple, readable code that interacts with lights, buttons, and sensors, making coding immediate, practical, and fun. Throughout the programme, students build confidence and develop key skills in coding, electronics, and teamwork. What You’ll Learn: Program microcontrollers using MicroPython (real-world Python for hardware) Understand inputs and outputs (Buttons, LEDs) Build simple automation and interactive systems Why MicroPython? Easy to learn – simple, readable Python syntax Instant results – see your code come to life on real devices Future-ready – strong foundation for coding and electronics Builds thinking skills – encourages logic and problem-solving from day one Getting Started Introduction to microcontrollers and setup Writing your first MicroPython programs Programming LEDs, buttons, and basic circuits What to Expect Support with installing all required software at the start A friendly, hands-on learning environment Collaborative group work for those without a laptop Don’t Forget the Sibling Discount: Enjoy a 15% discount automatically applied to each additional child when siblings are booked together in the same order. Please note: Sibling discounts will not apply if bookings are made in separate orders.
